Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy

This Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") applies to products purchased from Localite India and to stall bookings, exhibition services, promotional stalls, event services, and other related services provided by Localite India.

By placing an order, making a booking, or making any payment to Localite India, the customer or client acknowledges that they have read and understood the applicable terms of this Policy, together with any specific terms stated in the relevant product listing, quotation, invoice, booking confirmation, or written agreement.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any rights or remedies available to a consumer under applicable law.

1. Product Returns & Refunds

This section applies to physical products purchased from Localite India.

1.1 Return Eligibility

A customer may request a return or refund where:

  • the product received is damaged;

  • the product is defective;

  • the wrong product, size, quantity, or item was supplied;

  • the product materially differs from the description or specifications provided at the time of purchase; or

  • the product otherwise qualifies for return under the applicable product listing or purchase terms.

Customers should report the issue as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the product.

The customer may be required to provide:

  • order number or order details;

  • photographs or videos of the product;

  • photographs of the packaging, where relevant;

  • a description of the issue; and

  • any other information reasonably required to verify the claim.

Where a return is approved, the product should generally be returned in its original condition, with its original packaging, accessories, tags, and other included items, where applicable.

1.2 Non-Returnable Products

Certain products may not be eligible for return because of their nature, personalization, customization, hygiene requirements, condition, or other applicable restrictions.

Customized or personalized products made specifically according to a customer's requirements are generally non-returnable unless:

  • the product is defective;

  • the product was damaged before or during delivery;

  • Localite India supplied an incorrect product; or

  • the product materially differs from the customization that was agreed with the customer.

Where a product is specifically identified as non-returnable on its product page or purchase terms, that condition will apply subject to applicable consumer law.

1.3 Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

If a customer receives a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, Localite India should be notified promptly.

After reviewing the claim, Localite India may, depending on the circumstances and applicable requirements:

  • provide a replacement;

  • provide a correction or exchange;

  • provide a refund; or

  • offer another reasonable resolution.

Localite India may request photographs, videos, packaging information, delivery information, or other evidence to verify the claim.

1.4 Product Refunds

Where a refund is approved, Localite India will generally initiate the refund using the original payment method or another payment method mutually agreed with the customer.

The refund will normally be initiated after:

  1. the return request has been reviewed and approved;

  2. any required product has been returned; and

  3. the required payment or bank information has been received.

The time taken for the refund to appear in the customer's account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or other financial institution involved.

1.5 Return Shipping

Where a return is required because Localite India supplied a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, Localite India may arrange or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs, subject to verification of the claim.

For other approved returns, the customer may be responsible for applicable return shipping costs where such costs have been communicated or are permitted under the applicable purchase terms.

2. Stall Booking & Event Services

This section applies to:

  • stall bookings;

  • exhibition stalls;

  • promotional stalls;

  • event stalls;

  • event-related services;

  • stall setup or related arrangements; and

  • other services specifically agreed between Localite India and the client.

Stall bookings are different from ordinary product purchases because a confirmed booking may require Localite India to reserve a particular date, time, venue, staff, materials, equipment, transportation, planning resources, and other arrangements specifically for the client.

3. Stall Booking & Advance Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a 50% advance payment is required to reserve and confirm a stall booking.

The remaining 50% balance will be payable according to the payment schedule specified in the quotation, invoice, booking confirmation, or other written agreement.

A stall booking will be considered confirmed only after the required advance payment has been successfully received by Localite India.

Once a booking is confirmed, Localite India may reserve the relevant date, resources, staff, materials, equipment, transportation, and other arrangements for that booking.

4. Cancellation Within 15 Days of Advance Payment

If a client cancels a confirmed stall booking within 15 calendar days from the date on which the 50% advance payment was successfully received, the advance payment will generally be eligible for a refund, subject to this Policy and any specific written terms agreed for the booking.

The cancellation request must be communicated through an official communication channel used by Localite India, such as email or WhatsApp.

The cancellation request should include:

  • client name;

  • booking reference or payment details;

  • event name and date; and

  • confirmation that the client wishes to cancel the booking.

Once the cancellation has been verified, Localite India may request the client's bank or payment details for processing the refund.

The refund will be initiated after the required information has been received and the cancellation has been approved.

5. Cancellation After 15 Days of Advance Payment

If a client cancels a confirmed stall booking after 15 calendar days from the date on which the 50% advance payment was successfully received, the advance payment will generally be non-refundable.

This is because Localite India may have reserved the event date and committed or incurred expenses relating to:

  • venue or event arrangements;

  • staff;

  • materials;

  • stall preparation;

  • equipment;

  • transportation;

  • accommodation;

  • logistics;

  • planning;

  • third-party services; or

  • other booking-specific commitments.

Any exception may be considered by Localite India based on the individual circumstances of the booking.

Any exception granted in one case will not automatically create an entitlement to an exception in another case.

6. Client Non-Response or Abandoned Booking

After a stall booking has been confirmed, the client is responsible for remaining reasonably available and responding to booking-related communications.

If 15 days or less remain before the scheduled event and the client fails to respond to reasonable attempts by Localite India to contact them regarding important booking matters, including payment, event arrangements, documents, approvals, logistics, or other required information, Localite India may treat the booking as inactive or abandoned.

In such circumstances, the advance payment will generally be non-refundable, subject to applicable law and any specific written agreement.

Clients should therefore ensure that their registered telephone number, WhatsApp account, and email address remain active and that they respond to important booking-related communications.

7. Event Cancellation, Postponement or Material Change

If an event is cancelled, postponed, relocated, or materially changed by:

  • the event organiser;

  • venue;

  • government authority;

  • regulatory authority;

  • third-party service provider; or

  • another circumstance outside Localite India's reasonable control,

the client's stall booking may be affected.

Localite India will communicate the available options to the client as reasonably possible.

Depending on the circumstances, the available resolution may include:

  • rescheduling the booking;

  • transferring the booking to another event or date, where available;

  • adjusting the booking;

  • providing a refund of an applicable amount; or

  • another mutually agreed arrangement.

The applicable resolution may depend on the amount already paid, third-party commitments, non-recoverable expenses, the availability of alternative dates, and the specific circumstances of the event.

Where a refund is legally or contractually required, Localite India will process the applicable refund in accordance with this Policy and the relevant agreement.

8. Cancellation by Localite India

If Localite India is unable to provide a confirmed stall booking due to circumstances directly attributable to Localite India, Localite India will inform the client as soon as reasonably practicable.

Depending on the circumstances, Localite India may:

  • provide an alternative arrangement;

  • reschedule the booking; or

  • provide an applicable refund of amounts paid.

Any refund will be determined based on the services that could not be provided and any applicable written agreement.

9. Outstation Stall Bookings

For events outside Jaipur, additional expenses may apply, including:

  • travel;

  • transportation;

  • accommodation;

  • logistics;

  • loading and unloading;

  • event-specific transportation; or

  • other agreed event-related expenses.

Such expenses will be communicated or agreed with the client before the relevant service is provided, wherever reasonably possible.

Where an outstation expense has already been incurred or a non-refundable commitment has been made specifically for the client's booking, that expense may not be refundable.

10. Additional Hours & Additional Services

The quoted stall booking price applies only to the services, materials, facilities, and duration specifically agreed with the client.

Additional requirements may result in additional charges, including:

  • additional hours;

  • additional staff;

  • additional materials;

  • transportation;

  • custom setup;

  • equipment;

  • additional event services; or

  • other client-requested requirements.

Where reasonably possible, additional charges will be communicated and agreed upon before the additional service is provided.

11. Refund Processing

Where a refund has been approved under this Policy, Localite India may require the customer or client to provide accurate bank or payment details.

The customer or client is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate and complete.

Localite India will not be responsible for delays, failed transfers, or payments made to an incorrect account where such issue results from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer or client.

Approved refunds will generally be initiated after all required information and documentation have been received.

The time required for the refunded amount to reach the customer's or client's account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or other financial institution.

12. Refund Exceptions

Localite India may review exceptional refund or cancellation requests based on the specific circumstances of a case.

Any exception will be considered individually and may take into account:

  • the reason for cancellation;

  • the time remaining before the event;

  • expenses already incurred;

  • third-party commitments;

  • whether the date or resources can be reallocated; and

  • other relevant circumstances.

Approval of an exceptional refund does not automatically modify this Policy or create a precedent for future bookings.

13. Customer & Client Responsibilities

Customers purchasing products are responsible for reviewing:

  • product descriptions;

  • specifications;

  • size or quantity;

  • customization details;

  • applicable product terms; and

  • other relevant information before placing an order.

Clients making stall bookings are responsible for reviewing:

  • the quotation;

  • event name and date;

  • venue;

  • stall requirements;

  • booking duration;

  • services included;

  • payment schedule;

  • cancellation terms; and

  • any additional conditions applicable to the booking.

The client should raise any questions or concerns before making the advance payment.

Once an order is placed or a stall booking is confirmed, the customer or client will be considered to have accepted the applicable terms, subject to rights available under applicable law.

14. How to Request a Return, Refund or Cancellation

Nothing in this Policy is intended to:

  • waive any mandatory consumer right;

  • exclude any remedy available under applicable law;

  • prevent a consumer from approaching an appropriate consumer authority or forum; or

  • limit any right that cannot lawfully be excluded by contract.

17. Individual Quotations & Written Agreements

The terms contained in an individual quotation, invoice, booking confirmation, work order, or written agreement may contain additional terms specific to a particular product, stall booking, event, or service.

Where such specific terms are expressly agreed between Localite India and the customer or client, those terms will apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.

In the event of a conflict between this Policy and a specific written agreement, the specific written agreement will govern the particular transaction to the extent that it is legally valid and expressly agreed by the parties.

18. Policy Updates

Localite India may update this Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its business practices, services, or applicable legal requirements.

The updated version will be published on the Localite India website with the applicable "Last Updated" date.

The version applicable to a particular order or booking will generally be the version communicated or made applicable at the time the order or booking was placed, subject to applicable law and any specific written agreement.
